Carrie Thompson has 10 years of experience in the policy, legislative, state government and private industry arenas. Prior to joining CoreMesssage, Carrie worked to promote legislation on a range of client issues. In 2010, Carrie was the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Florida Department of the Lottery, where she communicated the agencies legislative and budget initiatives to the legislature. She was involved in all aspects of the agencies state contracts and state reporting requirements in addition to working to maximize the profits for education.
She has also worked for both Governor Jeb Bush and Governor Charlie Crist as a lobbyist and a legislative analyst. Carrie has also worked for a private grassroots firm where she organized coalition outreach regarding anti-consumer federal and state legislation. She has also worked for President-elect George Bush.
Carrie earned a Masters in American Policy and Politics, a Bachelors of Science in Communications, and a minor in Political Science from Florida State University.
