WCTV: New Library Opens In White Springs

Monday, February 11, 2013

White Springs, FL – A new library opens in White Springs, Florida.

Sunday was the official ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the new White Springs Public Library-Potash Corporation Building.
In addition to books, CDs and movies there is a community room for adult and children’s programs, plenty of computers and even WiFi.

“It’s a small library. It’s very valued. We can do so much more in terms of technology now. This really is something magnificent for this community. They’ve waited a long time. And it was well worth the wait,” said Betty Lawrence, Suwannee River Regional Library Director.

The old library was in a gas station. The first official day of business for the new one is Monday from 1-6 pm.
